Our Story
Over the past ten years we have been on a journey learning about Māori Kahu (Clothing) and Korowai and creating them for our family and loved ones for various special occasions. As Kahu Creations, we are excited to share our ancestral knowledge and love from our family to yours.

Our Mission
Our mission at Kahu Creations is to share the beauty and depth of our Māori heritage with the world by creating cultural adornments that are inspired by Māori cloaks called Korowai.
The korowai is worn on special occasions that mark significant milestones in our lives. Joining of two souls in marriage, the celebration of a graduation, the honoring of a cherished elder's birthday, the participation in a cultural ceremony...these pieces play a vital role.

Our Kahu
So many of us navigate the complexities of modern life, often feeling disconnected from the roots that are supposed to anchor us.
Through every adornment we make, either our contemporary kahu or more traditional custom korowai, we hope to reignite a sense of belonging and remind people that they are part of a rich tapestry of stories and traditions.
